A former fire chief of Cecil No. 1 Volunteer Fire Department in Lawrence will spend at least two weeks behind bars for driving while highly intoxicated to a medical call in March, the Observer-Reporter reported Friday.
Judge Janet Moschetta Bell sentenced Donald M. Hindman Jr., 49, of 319 Hunting Creek Road, North Strabane Township, to 14 days to 6 months in jail after he pleaded guilty to driving under the influence. He had a blood-alcohol content of 0.253 percent, according to the Observer-Reporter.
Hindman also received a 12-month driver’s license suspension. The judge ordered him to attend alcohol highway safety school, and undergo a drug and alcohol evaluation.
