Local Legislator Poised for Lieutenant Governor Run?

Although a political website said it was 'confirmed' the state representative in question said his future 'is not yet determined.'

The website Politics PA indicated that a local state representative "confirmed" that he would run for lieutenant governor, but the legislator said that wasn't the case.

"I never used the word 'confirmed,'" state Rep. Brandon Neuman, D-North Strabane, said Tuesday.

Neuman is in his second term in the Legislature serving the 48th District, which includes Canonsburg and North Strabane, among other communities.

And he said his main concerns at the moment involve the goings on in the state Legislature.

"My main focus right now is on my legislative responsibilities and the upcoming budget season," Neuman said. "I want to make sure my constituents are taken care of."

As for aspirations to a higher polical office?

"My future plans are not yet determined," he said.

Depends on what your definition of the word "confirmed" is. Typical politician.
