Water Service Disruption Causes at Least One Borough Business to Close

Borough officials said they have not been made aware of a water main break—but at least one business has indicated it was without water on Thursday morning.

At least one business in Canonsburg was without water because of unknown issues Thursday.

Cutters Edge, located on Pike Street, posted on its Facebook page that it would be closed because it was without service.

"Due to a water main break in Canonsburg, we will not be open this morning. We are unsure exactly what time we will have water again, so please call before you stop by. We are very sorry for the inconvenience. Have a happy Valentine's Day!" the message read.

Reached Thursday morning, borough Manager Terry Hazlett said that the municipality had not been made aware of any water main breaks as of 9:45 a.m.

He added that water company trucks were working across the street from the borough.

A spokesperson for Pennsylvania American Water could not immediately be reached for comment.
