CM Board Approves Resignation, New Hires

The Canon-McMillan School Board met Monday, Aug. 19.

At its Aug. 19 meeting, the Canon-McMillan School Board approved the resignation and hiring of several positions.

Sarah Grisso, a music teacher at North Strabane Intermediate School and Muse Elementary School, has resigned, effective Aug. 13.

The board hired a new cafeteria worker. Betty Sopiak will begin on Aug. 26, and will work in the high school cafeteria.

In addition, the board approved Jennifer Sabol as the assistant middle school swimming coach, with compensation in amount of $830. Lauren Veydt was approved as a volunteer girls volleyball coach, contingent upon a review of necessary clearances and paperwork.
