Michael Daniels Appointed New Superintendent at Canon-McMillan School District

School directors approved a three-year contract Monday night.

Those in attendance at Monday’s Canon-McMillan School Board meeting applauded the unanimous decision by directors to appoint Michael Daniels as its permanent superintendent.

A three-year contract with Daniels was approved and became effective Monday, with his first-year salary set at $135,000.

Daniels has performed as an acting superintendent since former Superintendent Helen McCracken first went on leave and then resigned her position.
