Spotlight: Canon-McMillan School District's Finest

Here are some folks who were recently lauded by the district and school board for their achievements.

Congrats to these Canon-McMillan all-stars, who were lauded by school directors and the district administration at this week’s board meeting.

  • Joni Mansmann, director of business and finance, has been granted a Certificate of Advanced Qualifications in Human Resources and Materials Management from the Pennsylvania Association of School Business Officials. To be granted the certificate, a school business official much demonstrate a high level of competency in the profession by successfully completing a series of courses in a specialized area of school business leadership.
  • Joyce Mason, Canon-McMillan High School Library media specialist, has received acceptance of a proposal for Three Rivers Educational Technology Conference. Mason, along with her co-presenter, Stevie Kline, will be presenting “S.T.E.A.M. Along With Leonardo, Albert and Frank: Project Creation.” As a result of the acceptance, the registration fee is waived.
  • Canon-McMillan High School juniors Sean Coleman and Alex Hannigan have achieved the rank of Eagle Scout—Boy Scouting’s highest honor. Coleman was honored at a special court of honor this past weekend, while Hannigan will be honored Nov. 3.
