Spotlight: Students, Faculty Lauded By Canon-Mac School Board

Congrats to all!

The Canon-McMillan School Board and administration recently lauded several students and faculty members for their accomplishments.

Here is a list of people who are in the spotlight this month:

  • The board recognized Elias Lavrich, a third-grade student at Muse Elementary School, for winning the Canonsburg General Hospital essay contest.
  • Brian Herrig, middle school teacher, and Greg Taranto, middle school principal, have an article published in the November 2012 issues of Technology and Engineering Teacher. The article is titled, "Being a Game Changer."
  • Borland Manor Elementary School students, facuty and staff collected $1,000 for Project Bundle Up. Charlene Rinehart's fourth-grade classroom won the classroom contest by collecting just shy of $210.
  • The administration also thanked the members of the school board in recognition of January being School Director Month.
