Heinz Field Introduces New Security Measures

The Steelers and Heinz Field management are advising fans attending tonight's preseason game about a new security procedure.

Heading to tonight's preseason game against the Indianapolis Colts? The Pittsburgh Steelers and Heinz Field management are advising fans about a new security procedure.

A metal detector screening has been put in place upon entering the stadium. These new measures will be in effect for all home games throughout the season.

All fans will be subject to metal detection as they enter Heinz Field. This is a new requirement for all NFL stadiums.

Tonight, gates open at 6 p.m. Kickoff is at 8 p.m.

Fans are encouraged to arrive early to the stadium to allow extra time for the screening. The new procedure, using handheld metal detectors, will enhance the current screening process and ensure a safe game day environment for all.

Fans can log on to www.steelers.com to view the security guidelines for entering Heinz Field.
