"You, yourself, as much as anybody in the entire universe, deserve your love and affection" Buddha once said. It was also once said that we are our own worst critic. In todays' harsh world we are always putting people down, and ourselves. This may sound kind of cheesy but when others are putting you down or your not giving youself any credit and feel down say this, "I am a good person, trying to do the best I can. I will remember this and be nice to myself as I try to be nice to others."
People like to take us down and constantly remind us of our flaws. However, we are human, we make mistakes, don't ever forget that but don't let it ruin your outlook on life.
