Muse Volunteer Fire Department Shows Off New Truck

Safety Officer Paul Smith said the truck will be used for field fires, mulch fires, and will be first out for single vehicle fires.

The Muse Volunteer Fire Department recently welcomed a new brush truck to its fleet of emergency response vehicles.

Per a tradition, members pushed it into the garage on Muse-Bishop Road last week.

Safety Officer Paul Smith said the truck will be used for field fires, mulch fires, and will be first out for single vehicle fires.

It has a 200 gallon water tank, and also has foam capabilities.

The truck also carries chainsaws, brooms, rakes and shovels.

The truck and equipment cost around $75,000 and was paid for using a state grant and donations.
