Bark in the Park
"Bark in the Park" is Saturday, Sept. 14, starting at 10 a.m. at Allison Parkette off of McGovern Road in Houston. A pet walk, agility course and best trick contest are part of the fun, with prizes awarded in each category. Registration is free. See this article for more information.
Heritage Players Talent Showcase
This performance is Sept. 14 at 7 p.m. at the Seton Center in Brookline, and is a fundraiser for The Heritage Players, which draws talent from throughout the South Hills. The group will perform "Oliver!" next month.
Chartiers VFD Public Safety Day
Check out the fire trucks, tour the fire house, see equipment at work, learn safety tips and say "thank you" to first responders. The Chartiers Volunteer Fire Department's Public Safety Day is Sunday, Sept. 15 starting at 1 p.m. at the station on West Pike Street.
