I would NEVER recommend Barbour Realty/Barbour Construction. Upon inspection of the dwelling we were trying to buy, it was noted in the inspection report that the roof did not longer have any life left to it and I was told that the entire roof deck would need replaced. Of the three estimates we gathered to have the roof replaced, Mr. Barbour under bid the other two companies. (Imagine that!). Upon closing, Mr. Barbour solicited my wife and I to have the siding replaced, new gutters and down spouts, and four new windows. It took 6 weeks for the completion of the project! 3 months after the “completion” of the work, siding was falling off of the house. This happened at least three times within the first year. To this day there is siding hanging off the peak of our house. SIDING SHOULD NOT FALL OFF, NUMEROUS TIMES, OF A HOUSE THAT HAS HAD SIDING INSTALLED UNDER TWO YEARS… IN OUR CASE, IT BEGAN TO FALL OFF IN UNDER THREE MONTHS! The gutter end caps and down spouts were never sealed (they leak incessantly when it rains and during the past two winters ice builds up in large chunks all around the downspouts). In my opinion, I would NEVER recommend Barbour Construction to do work on any one’s home, let alone have Barbour Realty represent you as a potential home buyer/seller. The work that was done is as unprofessional as it gets. It’s been two years and the work is still in ill repair. I would NOT recommend this contractor to anyone. BUYER BEWARE!!!
