Blotter: Woman Tells Police Antifreeze Left Out to Kill Cats

Canonsburg and Cecil police are investigating the following incidents.

Mary Lou Tokar, of 243 E. College St., told Canonsburg police Friday morning that someone in her neighborhood has been leaving out cups of antifreeze–and she told officers she believed it was being left out to kill stray cats. She said she found and dumped out three cups of antifreeze Thursday and another cup on Friday. Items Stolen Nicholas Codori, of 402 Peco St. told Canonsburg police on Sunday afternoon that someone had stolen two Crosby shackles valued at $3,500 and two steel plates valued at $400 from out in front of his garage. Blotter: Shots Fired Outside Bar, Man Charged with Public Intoxication

Police are investigating the following incidents.

Canonsburg police received reports of shots being fired outside The New Hofbrau just after midnight Monday. Police said a bartender called to report that he heard shots being fired from the parking lot. When officers arrived, they found four .45 caliber shell casings lying together on the ground in the west side of the parking lot near the fence with East End Auto. Police said fingerprints could not be obtained because the shells were lying in a rain puddle. Borough Man Cited for Public Intoxication Canonsburg police cited John Kosek Jr., of 123 1/2 E. College St. with public intoxication Friday after a neighbor called to report that he was sitting on her porch and yelling about a no trespassing sign that had been posted there. Houston Man…

Blotter: Borough Man Stabbed Wednesday

Canonsburg police report two assaults.

Robert Labossiere, 21, of 425 E. St. in Canonsburg, was transported to the hospital early Wednesday morning after what he told police he was attacked by two Mexicans, one of whom stabbed him. According to a police report, Labossiere said he was walking down North Jefferson Avenue around 4 a.m. Wednesday, when the two men approached him. After admitting to police he had been drinking, Labossiere said he asked the pair, “What the (expletive deleted) are you looking at?” – which is when they confronted him, according to the report. When Labossiere went to flee, police said one of the men attacked him with a knife, slashing him four times in the forearm. He was taken to the hospital for stitches. Blotter: Man Charged With Assault After Alleged Tuesday Attack

Canonsburg police are investigating the assault, a drug case and a report of criminal mischief.

Canonsburg police charged West M. Jones, 40, address unknown, with simple assault and criminal trespass Tuesday following a domestic incident at the home of his ex-girlfriend. Police said Jones climbed through the bedroom window of Anita Estrada, of 29 E. Pitt St., and then charged her – grabbing her by the throat, smacking her in the face and pulling her hair before shoving her to the ground Tuesday night. Officers noted “recent trauma” to Estrada’s right eye, according to the criminal affidavit. Jones was arraigned before District Judge David Mark on Tuesday. Blotter: W. Virginia Man Jailed On Fraud Charges

North Strabane Township police said man stole four cards

North Strabane Township police charged a West Virginia man with access device fraud, forgery, receiving stolen property, theft by deception and identity theft Wednesday after receiving a phone call from the Holiday Inn regarding possible criminal activity. Police said Jaynesh Umesh Patel, 28, of 1134 Steeple Chase Drive, Morgantown, W.Va., stole and used four credit cards that belonged to John P. Pless and Eleanor Pless. Police said the hotel's controller had received a call from an investigator with Citibank Financial, who told her a stolen Mastercard had been used to make two purchases -- a $16 one from the restaurant located within the Holiday Inn, and a $128.78 for a room, which he booked off an Internet site. Guntown Beer busted up after fight Saturday

Canonsburg police charged David Campbell, 52, of 104 Norris Drive, with criminal mischief and disorderly conduct after a fight at Guntown Beer on West Pike Street Saturday. Police said Campbell chased David Collins, of Washington, around the bar after reportedly yelling, "You are the person who tried to kill my brother." More than $1,000 worth of damage was done to the bar during the altercation. Charges will proceed by summons. DUI charged Canonsburg police charged Paul Bodnar Jr., 57, of Jamestown, Pa., with drunken driving Friday after an officer observed him pull out of a parking place and hit a stationary vehicle. Washington man helps stave off biting dog; Canonsburg police forward case to animal control

Susan Tomecsko told Canonsburg police she was walking her dog Wednesday near the Canon Apartments when a black rottweiler being led by a white female got loose and began attacking her dog. A police report indicates Ronald Leon Wetz, 33, of 1515 Amity Ridge Road in Washington, said he was visiting family in the Canon Apartments when he noticed the scuffle and hurried over to help. Wetz punched and kicked the dog until it retreated, the report indicated. Police said witnesses indicated they believed the owner, who lives on West College Street, had caught the dog.
