Four sitting Canon-McMillan school directors are hoping to retain their posts on the local school board, and one newcomer is also seeking a seat. There are four open seats on the board—two out of Canonsburg Borough and one each from North Strabane and Cecil townships. Current board President Darla Bowman-Monaco has cross-filed as both a Democrat and a Republican and is seeking nomination for the Cecil seat. Another candidate, Ronald Vrana, is seeking the Republican nomination for that seat. Vrana did not cross-file. Fellow current school directors Eric Kline and Paul Scarmazzi are also seeking re-election.
