The damage was estimated at $400, according to a police report. Criminal Mischief Reported Richard Ihrig, of East College Street, told Canonsburg police Sunday afternoon that someone had thrown a beer bottle against the rear window of his van, smashing it. A pedestrian was struck by a vehicle in Canonsburg Saturday afternoon and taken to Canonsburg General Hospital for treatment. Canonsburg police said witnesses told officers they observed Cynthia Ranson enter the crosswalk at Pike and North Central, when a vehicle driven by Gene Watts made a turn and struck her. Watts told police he was looking for oncoming traffic and did not see Ranson crossing the street, police said. Ranson complained of pain to her back, neck and legs, according to a police report. The extent of her injuries was not clear Monday.
