Superintendent Issues Message to Parents, Community Regarding Connecticut Shooting

Superintendent Michael Daniels issued the following statement in the wake of the Friday incident.

As people around the country try to make sense of the tragic elementary school shooting in Connecticut, Canon-McMillan Superintendent Michael Daniels issued this statement Friday afternoon to parents and members of the community. It also appears on the district website: Dear Parents/Guardians and Members of the Canon-McMillan Community, The event that took place today in an elementary school in Connecticut is a sad tragedy. As the full details of the event continue to unfold, we can only wonder how and why this happened. Information regarding this event today was not broadcast to our Canon-McMillan students. Not only that, but then training would need to be involved with teachers and staff to have possession and usage of the gun as well. Then $$ from the school gets involved with that...my thoughts are out to the victims of this as well.   more ›
