As people around the country try to make sense of the tragic elementary school shooting in Connecticut, Canon-McMillan Superintendent Michael Daniels issued this statement Friday afternoon to parents and members of the community. It also appears on the district website: Dear Parents/Guardians and Members of the Canon-McMillan Community, The event that took place today in an elementary school in Connecticut is a sad tragedy. Not only that, but then training would need to be involved with teachers and staff to have possession and usage of the gun as well. Then $$ from the school gets involved with that...my thoughts are out to the victims of this as well.   more ›
