Last Chance: Spaghetti Dinner Benefits Low-Cost Spay and Neuter Program

Michelle Bruce said whether you love cats or hate them, the only way to stop stray, feral and outdoor cats from overpopulation due to uncontrolled breeding is to get the felines fixed. But that can be an expensive venture for those who care for animals that roam their barns and neighborhoods. Until the FIX 'UR CAT initiative. Bruce is one of many volunteers to bring the low-cost spay and neuter program to Washington County, where local neighborhoods were experiencing droves of cats that were taking up residence on front porches and lounging on lawn furniture. Intead of paying the vet rate, those who participate in the FIX 'UR CAT initiative can have their feline spayed or neutered for $35 in the new year. And last year? Almost 400 cats …
