Man Charged With DUI After Reportedly Ending Up in Wrong Lane of Traffic
The incident happened in Cecil Township Saturday.
Cecil Township police said Timothy Vought was driving north on Georgetown Road Saturday night when officers saw him first travel on and off the center line, then, while negotiating a right-hand turn, slow almost to a stop before suddenly speeding up—driving over the berm and ending up in the wrong lane of traffic. When police stopped the vehicle and approached Vought, 44, of Canonsburg, officers said he appeared confused and was unable to locate his license, registration and insurance information. Officers said the man smelled like alcohol, and his eyes were glassy and bloodshot. That's when police asked Vought to submit to a field sobriety test, one officers said showed signs of impairment.
