Brookline Tattoo Artist Takes Second on 'Ink Master'

Sarah Miller, owner of Wyld Chyld Tattoo on Brookline Boulevard, took second place during the finale of Spike TV's "Ink Master."

Second place is nothing to scoff at when you're competing nationally—and for that reason, Pittsburgh has another reason to be proud. Tattoo artist Sarah Miller, owner of Wyld Chyld Tattoo on Brookline Boulevard, took second place on Spike TV's tattoo competition reality series "Ink Master" on Tuesday evening. Miller was a contestant on the second season of "Ink Master." The series finale—a live, two-hour special—aired on Spike TV on Tuesday. The title of Ink Master went to artist Steve Tefft of Groton, Conn., who also wins $100,000 and a feature in Inked Magazine. ‘Ink Master’ to Feature Area Tattoo Artist

Wyld Chyld Tattoo owner and artist Sarah Miller of Brookline will be featured on the show, starting in October.

An area woman is about to leave a permanent mark on the tattoo industry. When the new season of ‘Ink Master’ premiers on Spike TV in October, it will feature one of the Brookline’s own: artist Sarah Miller of Wyld Chyld Tattoo. The shop manager is one of 16 ‘Ink Master’ contestants trying for a $100,000 grand prize. She said the show is an unmatched experience for artists. “It’s something like boot camp for tattooing,” Miller said. “Fun, but it’s definitely sink or swim.” The 27-year-old can handle the pressure. Miller is a jack-of-all-trades around the Brookline Boulevard shop, which opened in March. She is its owner, an illustrator/designer and tattoo artist.
