The crew spent just more than $1,600 on the toys. This is the eighth year the department has participated in the program. And local folks can get involved, too. There will be a toy drive at the Muse fire station 9 a.m. until noon on Dec. 1. "If you want to participate, please bring a new toy valued at $5 or greater. Or, if you prefer, monetary donations will be accepted also. Santa Claus will be in attendance, so bring the kiddies," department safety officer Paul Smith said.
