It's primary time in Pennsylvania. Here's what you need to know to get out the vote.

Canon-McMillan School Board meets and Tuesday is Election Day.
Busy week. Here are five things you need to know. 1. Canon-McMillan School directors will hold their voting meeting at 7 p.m. Monday in the district administration building. The meeting is open to the public. 2. Cecil Township Elected Auditors will hold a special meeting at 7:30 p.m. Monday to set the wage Supervisor Frank Ludwin will earn for being in the position of assistant paving inspector for the municipality’s 2013 paving project. On Tuesday, Democrats and Republicans across the Commonwealth will make their way to their local polling places and cast their votes for various offices. In our neck of the woods, there are eight candidates running for two open seats for Washington County Common Pleas judge. There are also three Democrats vying for an open seat in Cecil, and a Democrat and Republican are vying for seats on the North Strabane Township Board of Supervisors. In Canonsburg, there are several seeking seats on council, and in the borough mayoral race, David H. Rhome will face off against Tracy Lee Weishner, a fellow Democrat. The agenda for the next North Strabane Township Board of Supervisors meeting has been released. The agenda includes consideration of transferring a liquor license from La Fiesta to Merante Brothers Market, and the site plan for a development by The Meadows Racetrack & Casino called The Street at the Meadows. It's located right on state Route 19. What kind of business do you think would make a good fit in the area?
Although the sign boasts that the building is home to Affordable Decks and Additions Inc., the building on state Route 19 across the street from the North Strabane Township Fire Department is vacant. The parking lot sits empty, and weeds have crept up around parts of the foundation. Our question? What would you like to see move into this venue? A big step forward for the new shopping center planned next to The Meadows Racetrack & Casino. North Strabane commissioners approved the conditional-use application for The Street at the Meadows last week, according to the Observer-Reporter. The plan includes a four-story building that would allow 90 one- and two- bedroom apartments on the top sloors, as well as restaurants and office space. The project is expected to be finished in spring 2014, according to the report.

The popular restaurant was destroyed by fire last year.
A new Frankie I's restaurant is expected to open in the fall. Owner Frank Iannarelli told the Observer-Reporter that construction is under way at the location of the old Frankie I's on Route 19 in North Strabane. The popular restaurant, converted from a 100-year-old barn, was destroyed by a fire in January 2012 that started in the kitchen. The new restaurant will keep the classic appearance of a barn, but with a modern touch, according to the report.
