Blotter: Gun Reported Stolen, DUI to be Charged

A Cecil Township man told police that someone stole a gun from inside his pickup truck. Robert S. Sowinsky told police on Monday that a stainless steel Smith & Wesson 9mm gun had been stolen from his truck—and said he noticed it missing on Friday. Sowinsky told police he thought it had been stolen while he was in a retail establishment in McDonald, but said he could not be sure. The gun was in a Velcro holster, and included a double-leather magazine holder. It was attached to a black leather belt. Sowinsky told police the value of the gun was about $800.
