Oldies Festival Returning to Canonsburg in May

Canonsburg Manager Terry Hazlett described an upcoming two-day festival as "an amalgamation of 'Hot Diggity Dog Days' and the former 'Doowopalooza' festival." Hazlett confirmed that the community will again be host to the Hot Diggity Dog Days—a festival that was created last year as a one-time event celebrating hometown crooner Perry Como's 100th birthday. But he said the event exceeded everyone’s expectations in terms of attendance, which caught the attention of America’s Pop Music Hall of Fame committee. The fund-raising event will include—in addition to oldies bands—a classic car show, food booths, crafts, a children’s area and attractions geared specifically to the 1950s and 1960s eras.
