Washington Man Jailed for Making False Reports

Thomas Allen was remanded to the Washington County Jail on $25,000 bond.

A Washington man is in jail after Canonsburg police said he made a false report to the department involving a road rage incident. Thomas Allen Sr., 29, of 795 Addison St., was charged with making false reports to law enforcement and arraigned Tuesday before district Judge David Mark, who remanded him to the Washington County Jail on $25,000 bond. He remained in jail as of Wednesday afternoon. According to court documents, emergency dispatchers received a call Sept. 30 about a road rage incident at the Gas n Go in the borough. The 911 caller identified himself to the dispatcher as Fred King, but when asked again for his name he provided a different one. The caller told dispatchers that he followed a black Honda with no plates to 413 N. …

Borough Man Charged with Resisting Arrest, Public Drunkenness

Thomas Craig Allen was briefly jailed on the charges this past Thursday.

A Canonsburg man was briefly jailed for disorderly conduct, resisting arrest and public drunkenness following an incident outside of a bar in Strabane Thursday. North Strabane police charged Thomas Craig Allen, 24, of 326 W. College St., after police said he was “defiant and belligerent” when questioned that night. Police said they had observed “a suspicious male standing against a telephone pole along Chartiers Street watching a nearby bar,” according to the criminal complaint. “The male had his hood pulled up which covered his face and he kept his hands in his pockets.” When an officer pulled up and asked Allen to remove his hands from his pockets, he refused, the complaint stated. “After I drew my Taser, (he) reluctantly complied and …
