Feral, Stray Cats 'Out Of Control'—Muse Woman Threatens to Use Rat Poison

Muse resident Kim Rozanc said she was at the end of her rope, and if something isn't done soon about the cats roaming the area she put out rat poisoning or file a lawsuit.

A Cecil Township resident said her dog had a standoff just the other day with a feral cat outside her Muse home.

Kim Rozanc said there is feces in her yard and cat urine on her outdoor furniture. She said she has had to beat the animals with brooms to keep them away.

'I'm at the end of my rope,' she said, demanding that supervisors take action.

'We need an ordinance on the books,' she told them.

Rozanc said if something isn't done soon, she will take matters into her own hands—telling those in attendance that she would file a class-action lawsuit or put out rat poisoning.

If dead cats are found, she said people will know why.

She said two dilapidated properties that have long been a hazard in her neighborhood are just adding to the cat problem. The two properties were recently condemned, township officials said at the meeting Monday.

Other residents in attendance spoke up in support of Rozanc—saying the number of creatures roaming Muse is a 'disgrace.'

Cecil Township Board President Tom Casciola said the administration would look into hiring a company to spearhead a 'concentrated effort' to round up the animals.
