Movies in the Park Coming to North Strabane Township

North Strabane's Parks and Recreation Department invites local families to come and watch a movie on the big screen—at Municipal Park.

"The goal of the park is to offer something for all ages," Parks and Recreation Direction Greg Sulc said of the new offering. "This is just another avenue."

The first of three movie screenings will take place at 8:30 p.m. Sunday, June 16, when "Finding Nemo" will be presented.

Families will then have a chance to watch "Alvin and the Chipmunks: Chipwrecked" at 8:30 p.m. Sunday, July 21.

Then at 8:30 p.m. Sunday, Aug. 18, "Racing Stripes" will be screened.

Sulc said the movies are offered free, and so is the popcorn to go along with them.

He noted that the movies will be screened at the upper baseball field, and that the concession stand will be open.
